Paddling (either kayaking of canoeing) is a great activity for both the individual and families. We offer paddling facilities for beginners and experienced paddlers, from age 7 to 97. It is best for beginners to start in the warmer weather.
Why not come along to one of our sessions, you don’t need to be a member. You can either contact us before you come along or just turn up on the day. Qualified coaches will be at hand to provide coaching to both beginners and experienced paddlers.
We meet regularly at our sites in Brownhills and Sutton Park (Blackroot) all year round for regular paddling sessions. We also hold a number of river trips and weekends away throughout the year. See current events.
We can provide all the equipment that you need including canoe or kayak, paddle, buoyancy aid, splash deck and helmet. You should wear suitable clothing such as a t-shirt, shorts, jogging bottoms or old trousers (not jeans), swimming costume or suitable underwear. If cold a woollen jumper or sweatshirt, tracksuit and a light wind-proof cagoule is recommended.
The cost for each session for non members is a £7 day membership. Members pay only £3 for hire of equipment.
